Web Developer Needed
Integrated Statistics is looking for a programmer
to work with NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration) NEFSC (Northeast Fisheries Science Center).
The programmer will work closely with staff from NOAA
NEFSC Fisheries Sampling Branch, designing and developing a
set of web sites that enhance productivity for the branch, and
enhancing existing websites. "The programmer would support the
development of Electronic Monitoring; improve and support the
Pre-Trip Notification System; evaluate achievements related to
seaday scheduling (including the Standardized Bycatch
Reporting Methodology); and expand web reports for observers,
fishermen, FSB, and others interested in observer data. The
websites are frequently updated in response to regulatory and
monitoring protocol changes, so flexible and extensible
architecture is a priority.
The programmer must:
Familiarity with Oracle, SQL, and related database tools and
technologies is highly desirable.
- Possess demonstrated proficiency in HTML5, CSS, PHP,
- Have a working knowledge of other programming
languages, such as PYTHON.
- Have experience working with CodeIgniter and Bootstrap Frameworks.
- Have experience using PHP to produce charts and graphs.
- Be able to work on a team with other developers integrating code and using

refining user requirements.
- Follow security and development standards set by the
NEFSC’s Data Management Systems group.
The position is full-time, initially for six months. The developer is expected to work on-site. The
rate of pay is $35-48/hr and the position is eligible for the
benefits described on the Integrated Statistics website.
