Full Time Data Entry Clerk Needed

Although most of the fisheries observation data is collected electronically, some observations are still recorded on paper. The Data Entry Clerk’s role is to key in the data from these paper reports.

Duties

The Data Entry Clerk's responsibilities include these tasks:

• Accurately & efficiently entering values from paper fisheries observer logs into a proprietary computer system.
• Meeting Observer Program milestones of entering trip data within 60 days of trip landing for loading to main database within 90 days.
  
• Keeping the team leaders informed of progress and any issues encountered.
• Working with team leaders to verify inconsistencies and solve data recording problems as needed.
• Assisting with routine audits and checks as needed.

 Qualifications
The successful candidate must have:

• The demonstrated ability to enter numerical data with great and sustained accuracy.
• A general knowledge of computer use, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to communicate and work well as part of a team.
• Ability to track progress, to work to deadlines, and to ask for help when necessary.

This position is full-time, with 40 hours per week expected. The schedule may be flexible, with core hours 9am-3pm. The rate of pay is $15-18/hr.
