These skills are desirable but not required:
- Knowledge of open source GIS analysis platforms.
- Demonstrated skill in analyzing geospatial data using R.
- Knowledge
of the national USFWS geospatial program resources related to data
access and analysis that can assist refuges with poor internet
connectivity.
- Knowledge and understanding of Alaskan ecosystems.
- Understanding of scientific and natural resource management work flows.
The position is full-time and is expected to last one year, and the rate of pay is approximately $29/hr. The position may begin with a period of remote work to accommodate pandemic restrictions.
